Located on a pier in Boston , USA, this property is home to a young family of four. As the couple and their two children are people used to urban life, they were interested in the house due to the easy access to the places they frequent on a daily basis. Due to the proximity, the children go to school on foot and the father has a boat anchored in front of the residence, which he uses on fishing trips. It is even possible to see the vessel through the  windows  of the home.

With a project coordinated by interior designer Sashya Thind, founder of the  ID8 Design Studio office , the residence underwent a renovation , which increased the entrance of  natural light and reformulated the environments. “Because it's a narrow property, it was a really fun challenge to carve out spaces on all levels. Each room was designed around the furniture elements to maximize the decor's usability and functionality,” she says.

In the social area , which integrates the living and dining rooms , the professional prioritized a soft but visually interesting aesthetic. “We created storage spaces in various areas that can be hidden or exposed as needed. The bar and television , for example, are hidden on the sides of the fireplace , in the living room, ”she says. Did you like the result?
